HIGH SCORERS!
These Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program providers have
readiness rates of 300, the highest possible. That means 100 percent of the
students who attended pre-K at these centers were deemed ready for kindergarten
in all three components of the screening test. All of the programs were operated
during the 2005-06 school year.

Preschool News
We are now enrolling children for our 2008-2009 school year and our new year begins on August 18th We will be holding our open house on August 13th at 7:00 p.m. We still have a few openings in our VPK class, so if you know of anyone who is interested, please have them contact the preschool office.
We would like to welcome Erica Simmons to our staff. Erica will be an assistant in our One Year Old class for our new school year.
With our new year beginning soon, we will be in need of volunteers for our classrooms and library. If you are interested, please let me know.

VPK Corner
We are already taking applications for 2008-2009 enrollment and looks like we are going to have another great year. We now have several other teachers who have been awarded scholarships for their CDA’s and Associate Degrees! Please contact the preschool office with any questions you might have regarding how to get your child registered.
Campbell Soup Labels
We are still collecting the Campbell Soup labels so please help us out by saving those for us. We are also in need of good Christian parenting books for our new library, so if you have any you would like to donate, please contact me.
Library
We are working really hard to get our library open in July. Our volunteers have been working to get the books ready for the "Lending Library." Your child will have an opportunity to check out a library book each week to bring home to have you read with them. We are in need of some stuffed animals for the shelves especially Clifford, Barney and zoo animals. If you have one you would like to donate to our library, please let me know. We will also have a time each week that your child's class will visit the library for "Reading Times with Mrs. Kay."
Ice Cream Man
Please don't forget to send $1.00 with your child on ice cream Fridays. The dates are June 6th and 20th, July 18th and August 1st.
Summer Schedule
We know many of you will be taking vacation this summer and will be using your vacation week. Please remember that we need a note in the office informing us when your child will not be here at the center. Also, your child's teacher may plan special activities for their class in the summer, so please take not in your child's classroom for any special notes they may have posted.
Vacation Bible School
Many of you have been asking about VBS this summer. VBS will be held the week of August 4th for the 3 year olds and older. We will be sending home more information at a later date. Please download the

Day Care Needs
Our day care library needs your child's unwanted or unused preschool aged books. Donations will be accepted in our center Monday - Friday, or bring to church on Sunday to be picked up in the church office. Thank you so much for the support you always show to our day care's needs.
