The Bible is really very simple...

     Love God, Love everyone and teach others to do the same. 

Sometimes we make things so complicated, it is human nature. But the core of God's message is something that all of us can practice everyday. Get involved, come to know Jesus, grow in your faith, and then GO and TELL someone else, lead them to do the same. That's what missions are all about at BLC. We believe in the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20, and we live that out in a context of Acts 1:8. Here and abroad, at home and far away, with people we know, and those that we have yet to meet.

Supporting Those in the Harvest Fields

Bethlehem Lutheran Church currently supports five different missionaries that are located all around the world. We ask that you would pray for them, consider supporting them, and think about how God might be calling you to get involved in missions.

Sending Workers to the Mission Field

BLC is a church on the move. We are missional in nature and are continually looking for ways to reach out with the love and healing of Christ. Mission trips for 2012 are being solidified, and we are currently looking at the possibility of participating in four different opportunities.
  • March 30 - April 9, 2012 - South Africa - Aids orphans and their caregivers
  • April 28 - May 6, 2012 - Guatemala - Build homes for Habitat for Humanity Click below to download move information about this trip.

  • July 1st - 8th 2012 - West Virginia - Ages 14 and up - working in the Appalachian Mtns of Logan, West Va. 
  • July 2012 - Poland - Ages 7 and up, a family mission trip - teaching English through the Bible

Mission of the Month

Mission of the month is a partnership between our Outreach and Sunday School ministries. Our hope is not only to support these ministries monetarily, but to also educate our children on these missions and why they exist. From field trips, supply drives, and education opportunities, our mission schedule guides our year long pursuit of God's Great Commission. Click below to see what the mission is for this month.

LWML - Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. This ministry is a wonderful way for women of all ages to engage in and support missions. All women are welcome to join us. We fund our grants with our mites, spare change, which is collected in the Narthex.
